Bristol Bar & Grille Highlands to close March 15

We are saddened to share that our newest partners at the Bristol Bar & Grille Highlands will be closing their doors on this location on March 15, 2026.
WhoDunnit has enjoyed delighting audiences at the Bristol’s Downtown location since 2015, and we were thrilled to begin performing at a second Bristol location in the Highlands this season (2025). And our audiences loved it, too!
Unfortunately, Bristol shared the following update to their Facebook page on February 25:
After more than 48 years, our Highlands location will serve its final guests on March 15.Since 1977, Highlands Bristol has been part of the heartbeat of this neighborhood — a place for late-night dining, celebrations, first dates, Sunday regulars, and countless memories. As the Highlands has changed over the years, decreased foot traffic and the loss of the late-night dining culture that once defined this area have made it increasingly difficult to operate in this location.This transition reflects a thoughtful consolidation of our operations so we can focus on stability, strengthen the core of our business, and continue serving our guests and community responsibly. While this location is closing, our priority remains honoring the history of the Bristol and supporting the team members who have brought this restaurant to life for five decades.Most importantly, we want to thank our extraordinary Highlands staff. Their dedication, heart, and hospitality over nearly 50 years are the reason this location has meant so much to so many. They created the experience our guests remember, and we are profoundly grateful for everything they poured into this restaurant.Thank you, Highlands, for more than 48 unforgettable years — and thank you to our team for making those years truly special.
So what does this mean for WhoDunnit?
You, and we listened! Our customers liked having options when it came to venue, so WhoDunnit will continue to perform at the Bristol Bar & Grille Downtown location as we begin our search for a new second home.
Here’s how this affects the remainder of our 2025–2026 season:
- Performances of Reflections: Murder in a Hall of Mirrors currently scheduled through March 7 are not impacted and will be performed at Bristol Highlands, as scheduled.
- All performances of our upcoming production The Case of the Smokin’ Gunn will be held at the Bristol Downtown location, including those that were originally scheduled for Bristol Highlands.
- Our Expert Proofreading Techniques workshop has been relocated. (Attendees: please check your e-mail for more information).
We will still hold shows at Bristol Bar & Grille Downtown next season, as always, and have also begun looking into new locations at which to perform. Join our mailing list to receive updates!
WhoDunnit would like to thank the Bristol team for their hospitality at both Downtown and the Highlands over the past decade. We look forward to continuing our partnership, and wish them success as they shift their focus to their remaining locations.
We also deeply appreciate our friends and fans for supporting WhoDunnit from our very beginnings in Louisville at Masterson’s, through several moves, and to our current home at the Bristol. We can’t wait to welcome you to our newest location… wherever that may be!
